INTO ME YOU SEE

Submerged, upside down in a breathless trance-
another wave hits, before there’s a chance
for a second breath.

You only get one for now;
make do and swim
for your life…
in the salty depths of the Into-Me-Sea.

Swim toward or away from the love
of your life…
tread water alone
or swim to your wife.

Submerged, upside down in a breathless trance-
another wave hits, before there’s a chance
for a second breath…
surrendering to love feels like drowning to death.

Do we catch our breath
or does our breath catch us?
Do I trust myself, to know who to trust?
And swim onto the shore
of the love in my life.

From the immense potion
of her swallowing ocean,
arise my roiling swells;
the ups and downs of my heavens and hells.

If I climb aboard and ride
the ocean of Her…
can I also swim through
the fury I stir?
